Hi, I’m Julie. I’m so glad you’re here.

From then until now… OY, what a ride.

So much growth, and so much healing.

And yet so much remains unchanged.

Like, silky slow morning bath time, journaling, space for noticing how I’m feeling, and appreciating the simple, humble moments of ordinary life.

Before he died, my dad once said to me, “I never worry, and I never hurry.” That wisdom has become like a mantra. Turns out the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, after all.

But it hasn’t always been like this.

I’ve always been inspired by beautiful spaces and awestruck by nature’s abundant wisdom. This is what led me to studying interior design, and that’s when I learned the foundational principle: form follows function, which still influences how I relate with my surroundings.

I became a single mama early, not long after losing my own mother, and my girl and I moved often. Eventually, I designed and built a tiny home for us, long before it was trendy, and I learned by necessity to be creative and resourceful in how I approached "fluffing the nest,” or, the art of making a house a home.

Waiting tables for many decades, I got to witness people in all kinds of moments, and I noticed how folks softened in response to my warmth and empathy. Whether that meant honoring a dietary need or quietly recognizing the emotional weight someone was carrying, it wasn’t something I tried to do; I simply didn’t know how to not care so much. I’ve tried on many other hats and identities only to find the one that fits best is the one that lets me be exactly who I am.

Knowing I wanted more for myself and my daughter, I returned to school with a focus on Women’s Studies and Eastern traditions. Later, after my fledgling left the nest, I pursued more formal training in holistic wellness and trauma informed practices. I’d always had a dream of becoming a philanthropist with the intention of supporting women in periods of transition, or overcoming adversity. And, I finally feel like I’m well on my way to living that dream.

I'm married now, and my life is simple and quiet, just the way I like it. These days, I celebrate and revel in tending to our beautiful home, creating delicious, nourishing food, and moving through my days with a more graceful pace that allows me to show up for others attentively and in meaningful ways.

Whether I’m supporting clients with simple meals as they navigate health challenges or big life transitions, catering small events, listening to a friend or stranger, or helping someone wrangle their space into order, Nourish Nurture Nest is the culmination of my lived experience and passions.

My experience has shown me that our outer environment often reflects our inner landscape, and tending to one naturally supports the other.

And, learning to integrate these threads has helped me realize that if I could create a life and home that embraces both the beauty and messiness of real life, I could support and inspire others to do the same.

This is the scaffolding upon which Nourish • Nurture • Nest is built. It is a delicate and humble ecosystem that reflects my own evolution as a woman and enables me to provide grounded, practical, and loving care to the women I support.

Because what the world needs now more than anything is more women who feel steady, cared for, and whole.

I hope you’ll feel welcomed within this nourishing, nurturing ecosystem. I’m here for you.

The Underground Fairy Godmother Network (UFGN)

A community-rooted model of care and generosity of spirit from

Nourish Nurture Nest

The Mission

The Underground Fairy Godmother Network was born from my lived experience and a long-held dream to create a more generous, compassionate, and just world for mothers and children, survivors of domestic violence, and those navigating acute life challenges.

It’s not a nonprofit.

It’s a mission-driven movement.

Rooted in values of dignity, reciprocity, and heartfelt generosity, the UFGN is my way of giving back by offering sliding-scale, pay-what-you-can access to my coaching and holistic support services for women in need. It also provides direct financial aid for things like urgent car repairs, utility bills, housing deposits, or food, where even a small amount can make a transformative difference.

The Inspiration

This mission is deeply personal. Years ago, as a struggling single mother living on food stamps and dreams, a handful of generous souls helped me get back on my feet. One friend gifted me $1,000 to buy my first (of many) beloved old Volvo 240s. Another put me on a list for a housing grant simply because I had the courage to call.

That early support changed everything. It planted a seed that I have spent the past three decades nurturing.

How It Works

The UFGN is sustained through a combination of my paid offerings and generous contributions from others who believe in the power of mutual uplift. Here’s how support flows:

  • Clients who pay full or premium rates for my coaching, retreats, or nourishment services subsidize access for others.

  • Gifts made through Venmo, PayPal, or other platforms go directly toward offsetting session costs or funding small but crucial needs for women in crisis.

  • A portion of support ensures my own sustainability, allowing me to offer this work from a grounded, nourished place—because we cannot pour from an empty cup.

Why It Matters

The women I work with are not broken—they are brave, tender, wise, and often exhausted. Many are navigating transitions like divorce, single motherhood, often layered with financial strain, grief, illness, or other destabilizing life events. Most are holding more than they should have to, with fewer resources than they deserve.

I’ve walked this path myself, and I know how life-changing it can be to be met with compassion and care. Through the UFGN, I offer that care as both a coach and a fellow traveler. I’m not here to fix or save anyone. I’m here to walk beside them, to offer reflection, nourishment, and soul-level support— whether or not they’re able to pay.
